This month's photo:

A rather unusual 1984 Austin Metro 1.3L.

You're probably wondering why I'm classing this Metro as unusual. If you're not a Metro fan then you're probably thinking he's lost the plot! What made me pick this particular car is the fact that it has the optional headlamp washers... sad or what?

You can view a larger copy of this month's and previous month's Metro's by visiting the Monthly Metro page.

Welcome to austinminiMetro! Thanks for stopping by. It was once a car that was parked on every street in the UK. But my search for a Mk1 Metro was somewhat difficult. Where have all the Metro's gone?

I'm new to the world of Metro's and I've decided to create this little piece on the web to show the progress on my own Metro, and a chance for other Metro owners to share their stories. I'm looking to hear from anyone with a tale to tell about Metro's. Perhaps you own or have owned a Metro in the past? Or maybe your just looking for some information? Why not drop me an email?

Finally, enjoy the site, and remember to stop by regularly to see the latest updates.

Metro van
If you were a fleet operator, a popular extension to the Metro range was the Van.

Rally cars
The "ultimate" Metro. £13,000 would have bought you the road version of the 6R4.
